About Mandal
Mandal is a small rural settlement in Selenge Province, northern Mongolia, situated in the forest-steppe zone north of Ulaanbaatar. The area is dominated by agriculture (wheat, vegetables) and livestock herding. Mandal serves as a local service centre for the surrounding rural communities.
The climate is continental with cold winters (-20 to -30°C) and warm summers (18-25°C). June to August is the best time.
