Cosío is a small rural municipality in the northern part of Aguascalientes state, Mexico. How to reach

By Plane

The nearest airport is Aguascalientes International Airport (AGU), approximately 80 km south of Cosío. From the airport, you can hire a private transfer or taxi (about 1 hour, M$500-600) or take a taxi to Aguascalientes bus station and continue by bus.

By Train

By Car / Road

Cosío is located about 80 km north of Aguascalientes city. The drive takes approximately 1 hour via Highway 45 northbound. From Zacatecas, it is roughly 90 km south (1.5 hours) via Highway 45. From León, Guanajuato, the drive is about 180 km (2.5 hours). Roads are generally in good condition. Occasional bus services run from Aguascalientes to Cosío, though schedules may be infrequent; check with the local bus terminal for current times.

Cosío is a small town best explored on foot. The town centre and its main attractions can be covered in a short walk. Taxis are limited; it is advisable to arrange transportation in advance if you plan to visit surrounding areas. A private vehicle is recommended for exploring the wider municipality and nearby towns.
