Monguel

Monguel is a traditional Fulani village in the Gorgol valley, east of Kaédi. It is surrounded by pastoral grazing lands and seasonal floodplains that support cattle herding and some agriculture. Monguel is a quiet, traditional settlement that offers insight into Fulani rural life in the Senegal River basin.

Monguel is connected by unpaved road to Kaédi (approximately 70 km southwest) and Maghama (50 km south). A 4×4 is recommended after rain.
