Why visit Similajau National Park?

Similajau National Park is a coastal park near Bintulu in central Sarawak. It protects a 30-km stretch of coastline with golden sandy beaches and rocky headlands. The park is known for sea turtle nesting (May–September), coastal jungle trails, and wildlife including proboscis monkeys, silver-leaf monkeys, long-tailed macaques, hornbills, and saltwater crocodiles in the river estuaries. The main activity is hiking the coastal trail.

Kuching International Airport (KCH) or Miri Airport (MYY) depending on location.

By Train

No train.

By Car / Road

Accessible via the Pan Borneo Highway and park access roads.

Walking on park trails. A guide is recommended for longer hikes. Private transport to the park entrance is necessary.
