Tasek Gelugor
Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
Why visit Tasek Gelugor?
Tasek Gelugor is a town in the North Seberang Perai District, mainland Penang, about 20 km east of Butterworth. Long an agricultural hub for the surrounding paddy-farming and oil-palm villages, it grew in importance after a railway station opened here in 1915 on the line linking Penang to Kedah. Today it is home to what is often described as the largest farmers' market in Penang.
