Soanierana Ivongo

Soanierana Ivongo is a coastal town in the Analanjirofo region of north-eastern Madagascar, lying on the Indian Ocean coast about 40 km south of Maroantsetra. It sits on the edge of Antongil Bay and serves as a fishing and agricultural centre for the area. The economy revolves around fishing, vanilla, and cloves.

The town is one of the departure points for excursions into the Masoala National Park and for trips to the island reserve of Nosy Mangabe. The coastline is scenic, with a mix of sandy coves and rocky headlands. The climate is very wet, typical of Madagascar's north-east coast.
