Hinheup

Hinheup is a district in northern Viangchan Province, located in the foothills of the Phou Khao Khouay range on Route 13 between Phonhong and Vang Vieng. The area is agricultural with rice farming and some forestry. The cooler temperatures due to elevation make it a pleasant stop.

The climate is tropical monsoon. November to February offers the best conditions. The district centre is along Route 13.

Hinheup is on Route 13, about 30 km north of Phonhong and 50 km south of Vang Vieng. Buses between Vientiane and Vang Vieng pass through.

The town is walkable.
