Why visit Busia?

Busia is the county capital of Busia County, a busy border town straddling the Kenya–Uganda frontier. It is one of East Africa's busiest border crossings, with a constant flow of people, goods, and vehicles. The town is a hub of cross-border trade, with a huge open-air market where Kenyan and Ugandan traders exchange everything from electronics to fresh produce. Busia sits on the equator and has a warm, humid climate.
