Sahab

About Sahab

Sahab is an industrial and residential town southeast of Amman, approximately 15 km from the city centre. It has grown rapidly from a small rural settlement into a significant urban area, driven by its proximity to Amman's southern industrial zones and the airport highway. The town serves primarily as a dormitory community for workers commuting into the capital.

Sahab's character is more working-class and less touristic than central Amman. The area has limited visitor infrastructure but offers an authentic glimpse of everyday Jordanian suburban life. The climate mirrors Amman's semi-arid pattern: hot, dry summers (30–35 °C) and cool, occasionally rainy winters (5–12 °C). Spring (March–May) is the most pleasant time to visit.
