Naur
Al 'Asimah, Jordan
Why visit Naur?
Naur is a rural area on Amman's southwestern fringe in the Capital Governorate. It sits at a higher elevation than central Amman and is known for its cooler microclimate, open agricultural land, and quiet residential developments. The area offers a countryside escape within easy reach of the capital.
Naur's landscape is characterized by rolling hills, olive orchards, and scattered villages. It is popular with Jordanian families for weekend picnics and outdoor gatherings, particularly in spring when the hills turn green. The climate is slightly cooler than central Amman due to elevation, with hot dry summers and cold winters that occasionally see snow.
