Tahara
Aichi, Japan
Why visit Tahara?
Tahara (田原) is a city at the southern tip of the Atsumi Peninsula in southern Aichi Prefecture, surrounded on three sides by the Pacific Ocean and Mikawa Bay. The city is known for its beautiful coastline, beaches, and the Irago Cape (Irago-misaki), the southernmost point of the peninsula with a historic lighthouse. Tahara is also a centre for greenhouse agriculture, producing flowers, melons, and strawberries. The area has a relaxed coastal atmosphere, making it a popular summer getaway.
