About Dhuluiya

Dhuluiya (Arabic: الضلوعية) is a town in Şalāḩ ad Dīn Governorate, central Iraq, on the Tigris River about 25 km northwest of Balad. It is a predominantly Sunni Arab agricultural town in the Tigris floodplain. The town was heavily affected by the post-2003 insurgency and ISIS occupation. It has since begun to rebuild. Summers are extremely hot; winters mild. Spring is the best time.
