Baft

Baft is a mountainous city in western Kerman Province, situated at an elevation of around 2,200 m. Its cooler climate makes it a summer retreat from the heat of lower-elevation parts of the province. Baft is known for its walnut orchards and apple trees. The surrounding area features forested mountains and valleys that contrast sharply with the desert landscape elsewhere in Kerman.

By Bus

Baft has daily bus connections to Kerman (170 km, 3 hr) and Sirjan (90 km, 1.5 hr). Buses depart from the main terminal.

By Car

The road from Kerman to Baft (170 km) winds through scenic mountain passes. The road continues west to Sirjan.

Baft is small and walkable. Taxis are available for trips to nearby villages.
