Why visit Kabudarahang?

Kabudarahang is a city on the Hamadan plain in north-central Hamadan Province, capital of Kabudarahang County. Its name means "place of the blue dome" in Persian. The city has a population of around 19,000 (2016 census) and sits in a fertile, mountain-ringed plain that has long supported farming and animal husbandry; the surrounding region is also known for mineral resources, particularly salt. The county is home to Ali Sadr Cave, one of the world's largest water caves, a major regional attraction. The climate is continental with cold, snowy winters and warm summers.
