About Hajduszoboszlo

Hajdúszoboszló is Hungary's premier thermal spa town, located 20 km southwest of Debrecen in the heart of the Great Plain. Its claim to fame is the Hajdúszoboszlói Gyógyfürdő (Hajdúszoboszló Thermal Bath) — one of the largest and most visited spa complexes in Europe. The town's thermal water was discovered in 1925 during oil exploration, and what gushed forth was 74°C alkaline bicarbonate water, rich in minerals and recognised as medicinal. Today, the bath complex covers over 15 hectares, with 32 pools, a wave pool, thermal caves, and extensive wellness facilities, attracting over a million visitors annually. Beyond the spa, Hajdúszoboszló is a pleasant, leafy town with a relaxed resort atmosphere, wide streets, and a lively summer season.
