Tet
Győr-Moson-Sopron, Hungary
About Tet
Tét is a small town in the eastern part of Győr-Moson-Sopron County, situated between the Mosoni-Duna and the Rába River, about 25 km southwest of Győr. Its history dates back to medieval times, and the remains of the Téti Vár (Tét Castle) — a 13th-century fortified manor — are a reminder of its former importance as a defensive post on the floodplains. Today, Tét is a quiet agricultural and service centre surrounded by corn and sunflower fields, with a network of small canals and drainage ditches that are excellent for angling and birdwatching. The town's modest thermal bath is a popular local amenity.
