Corozal is a small coastal village in Atlántida department, Honduras, situated along the Caribbean shore between Tela and La Ceiba. How do you get there?

By Plane

The nearest airport is Golosón International Airport (LCE) in La Ceiba, approximately 30 km to the east. From the airport, travel by road takes about 30 minutes. Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport (SAP) near San Pedro Sula is roughly 105 km to the west.

By Car / Road

Corozal is located on or near the coastal highway (CA-13), approximately 30 km west of La Ceiba and 70 km east of Tela. From La Ceiba, the drive takes about 30 minutes. From San Pedro Sula, expect 2 hours. Colectivo minibuses serve the village from La Ceiba for around L 40–60.

Corozal is a small village best explored on foot. The beach, central area, and accommodations are all within walking distance. For excursions to nearby wetlands or villages, arrange transport locally.
