Farim

Norte, Guinea-Bissau

Why visit Farim?

Farim is a small town in eastern Norte Province, situated on the banks of the Farim River near the border with Senegal. It is a predominantly Mandinka and Fula settlement with a history as a river trading post that connected the interior to the Cacheu River system. The town is quieter than the coastal parts of the province and serves as a gateway to the northern interior. Its location on the river makes it a scenic stop for those exploring the less-visited eastern parts of Norte.
