Why visit Mansoa?
Mansoa is a lively agricultural market town in central Norte Province, located on the main highway between Bissau and Canchungo. It is known for its large and colourful market — one of the busiest in the region — where farmers from surrounding villages sell cashew nuts, rice, fruits, and vegetables. The town has a mixed population of Papel, Manjaco, and Fula communities. As a transport stop on the main north road, it sees regular traffic and functions as a minor hub for the surrounding rural area.
