About Calivigny
Calivigny is a small coastal community on the southern shore of St George parish in Grenada, situated between the Grand Anse area and the southern peninsula. The area is primarily residential with a mix of local homes and vacation properties. Calivigny Bay offers calm, sheltered waters and views across to the small offshore islands. The community retains a quiet, rural character despite its proximity to the tourist infrastructure of Grand Anse.
The terrain is gently undulating with tropical vegetation, and the coastline features a mix of rocky outcrops and small sandy coves. The area is known among locals for its seafood and the views from the coastal road.

Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) is approximately 5 km west of Calivigny. The drive takes about 10-12 minutes via the coast road. Taxis cost around EC$35-45 (US$13-17).
By Train
By Car / Road
Calivigny is accessed via the coast road south from Grand Anse (about 8 minutes). The road is paved but narrow. Minibuses run along the main road; flag one down for a fare of EC$3-4.
The area is small and can be explored on foot. Taxis or rental cars are useful for trips to Grand Anse or St George's. The quiet roads are suitable for cycling.
