By Plane
The nearest international airport is Athens Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH) or Thessaloniki Makedonia (SKG), depending on the region. From the airport, rental cars and KTEL buses connect to Kavos.
By Car / Road
Kavos is accessible via Greece's national road network. KTEL intercity buses connect Kavos with major cities. Driving offers flexibility, especially for exploring the surrounding countryside.
By Ferry / Sea
Ferries connect the Ionian Islands with the mainland ports of Igoumenitsa, Patras, and Kyllini. In summer, there are also inter-island services. High-speed ferries (hydrofoils and catamarans) are faster but more expensive. Conventional ferries are cheaper and carry vehicles.
Kavos is compact enough to explore on foot. For longer distances, local buses and taxis are available. Renting a car or scooter is the best way to explore the wider area independently.
