About Aburi

Aburi is a hill town in the Eastern Region, famous for the Aburi Botanical Gardens, established in 1890. The town sits on the Akuapem Ridge at about 450 metres elevation, offering cooler temperatures and views over the Accra plain. It was a colonial-era hill station and remains a popular weekend getaway from Accra.

How to reach

By Car/Road: Aburi is 30 km north of Accra (1 hour) via a winding mountain road from the N6.
