About Adanwomase

Adanwomase is a small village about 25 km east of Kumasi, world-famous for its kente weaving tradition. The village is one of the primary centres for handwoven kente cloth in Ghana, with over 70% of households involved in weaving. Weavers produce the iconic Asante kente on handlooms in open-sided workshops, using techniques passed down through generations. A visit here is one of the most rewarding craft experiences in Ghana, offering direct interaction with the artisans and the chance to buy authentic cloth at fair prices without intermediaries.
