The nearest airport is Geneva (GVA), about 1 hour away. Shuttle buses connect Geneva Airport to Megève in winter. By car, the A40 autoroute leads to the Sallanches exit, then 15 minutes to Megève. The nearest train station is Sallanches (15 minutes away), served by TGV from Paris.
The village centre is walkable. A free ski bus connects the slopes. Horse-drawn carriages are a charming way to explore in winter. A car is useful for reaching nearby resorts.
What are the things to do?
The Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste is a 14th-century church in the centre. The Palais Megève houses a casino and luxury shopping. The village's traditional wooden chalets and granaries are beautifully preserved.
Ski the Évasion Mont Blanc domain covering 445 km of pistes across Megève and Saint-Gervais. Visit the local cheese dairy. Enjoy the spa and wellness facilities. Take a hot-air balloon ride over Mont Blanc.
