How do you get there?

By Road

Karvia sits at the junction of regional Road 273 and Highway 23, reachable by road from Kankaanpää and other Satakunta towns.

What are the things to do?

Karvia Church, a wooden church from the late 18th century, painted red with a yellow-topped tower, stands in the village centre. Nearby, Kauhaneva-Pohjankangas National Park protects extensive bogs and pine heathland shared with neighbouring Kauhajoki.

Hiking in Kauhaneva-Pohjankangas National Park is the area's main outdoor draw; the Alkkia forestry research area, once a wartime prison and prisoner-of-war camp site, is also part of the local landscape.
