Ghala Nefhi

Ghala Nefhi is a small town on the western outskirts of Asmara in the Central Region. It is known for the Ghala Nefhi reservoir (also called Mai Nefhi), one of the largest water bodies on the highland plateau. The reservoir is a popular recreational spot for Asmara residents, offering opportunities for birdwatching and picnics. The surrounding area is agricultural, with terraced fields and eucalyptus woodlands.
