Cruces is a small town in central Cienfuegos province, Cuba, located approximately 25 km north of Cienfuegos city. The town has a population of around 12,000 and serves as an agricultural centre for the surrounding sugar cane and tobacco-growing region. Founded in the 19th century, Cruces has a modest central plaza and a handful of colonial-era buildings.
