Itsandra

Itsandra is a coastal settlement north of Moroni with the historic Itsandra Beach Hotel and gardens. This settlement offers an authentic glimpse of life on Grande Comore, the largest and most populous island of the Comoros archipelago.

Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport (HAH) in Moroni is the nearest airport. From there, shared taxis and private transfers reach Itsandra in 15–60 minutes.

Shared taxis (taxi-brousse) from Moroni serve all major settlements on Grande Comore. Roads are paved along the main coastal ring road but can be narrow and winding. A 4WD is recommended for interior villages.

Walking within the settlement. Taxis and motorcycle taxis are available for trips to neighbouring villages. For remote areas, hiring a driver is recommended.
