Taipa

Why visit Taipa?
Taipa (氹仔; Dàngzǎi) is an island in Macau linked to the Macau Peninsula by three bridges (Ponte Governador Nobre de Carvalho, Ponte da Amizade, and Ponte de Sai Van) and connected to Coloane and the Cotai Strip by reclaimed land. Historically a fishing village, Taipa today is a mix of the old village centre — with its narrow streets, temples, and traditional Macanese shops — and the modern casino resorts of the Cotai Strip, which spans the reclaimed area between Taipa and Coloane. Taipa is also where Macau International Airport and the University of Macau campus are located. The climate is humid subtropical.
