Why visit Cotai?
Cotai (路氹; Lùdàng) is a 5.2 km² strip of reclaimed land connecting the islands of Taipa and Coloane, developed over the past two decades as Macau's mega-resort and casino district. Modelled on the Las Vegas Strip, Cotai is a purpose-built entertainment zone of colossal integrated resorts — each containing hotels, casinos, shopping malls, theatres, convention centres, and dozens of restaurants. The strip is dominated by The Venetian, Galaxy Macau, City of Dreams, Studio City, Wynn Palace, and MGM Cotai, among others. Cotai is Macau's fastest-growing tourism zone, attracting millions of visitors annually for gambling, luxury shopping, Michelin-starred dining, and world-class shows. The climate is humid subtropical.
