About Am Sack

Am Sack is a remote village in north-eastern Batha province, close to the border with Ouaddaï and Sila regions. It lies in a sparse Sahelian landscape dominated by acacia scrub and seasonal pasture. The village sees very few visitors and offers no tourism infrastructure.

By Car / Road

Am Sack is reached by rough unpaved tracks from Ati or from Abeche. A 4×4 vehicle is essential. Travel is only feasible during the dry season (November to May).

Walking is the only option.
