Vysokaye

Vysokaye (also known as Vysokoye) is a small historic town in far western Bresckaja voblasć, a few kilometres from the Polish border. It has a beautifully preserved Gothic church and the remains of a 17th-century synagogue, reflecting the diverse religious heritage of the region. The town was historically part of Poland and has a distinctly Central European character. The Gothic Church of the Holy Trinity (sometimes called the Vysokaye Church) dates from the 15th century and is one of the oldest churches in the region.

By Train

Vysokaye has a station on a branch line from Brest to Wysokie Litewskie (Polish border). Trains from Brest take about 45 minutes.

By Car / Road

From Brest, take the R-16 highway north-west (40 km, 40 minutes). The Polish border crossing is adjacent.
