Siyazan

Siyəzən, Azerbaijan

Why visit Siyazan?

Siyazan (also spelled Siyəzən) is a city in northeastern Azerbaijan, the administrative centre of Siyazan Rayon, located in the coastal lowlands between the Greater Caucasus Mountains and the Caspian Sea. The city's economy is dominated by petrochemicals — the Siyazan Oil Terminal and associated processing facilities handle crude from offshore Caspian fields. Despite its industrial character, Siyazan is also a gateway to the nearby Caspian beaches and the Beshbarmag mountain, a site of pilgrimage and legend. Summers are warm and dry; winters mild. Spring and autumn are the most pleasant seasons.
