About Dag Kasaman
Dag Kasaman (Dağ Kasaman, meaning "Mountain Kasaman") is a village in Ağstafa Rayon in northwestern Azerbaijan, located in the foothills of the Lesser Caucasus. Unlike the flat lowland villages of the rayon, Dag Kasaman sits at a slightly higher elevation with more varied terrain and scenic views of the surrounding hills. The village is a farming community where residents grow grain, fruit, and raise livestock.
The landscape is hilly with a mix of farmland and scrubland. The climate is moderate continental, slightly cooler than the lowlands: warm summers (25–32 °C), cold winters (−4–5 °C). Spring and autumn are ideal for visiting.
Dag Kasaman is of interest to travellers seeking rural mountain scenery in northwestern Azerbaijan.
