Juberri

Sant Julia de Loria, Andorra

About Juberri

Juberri is a small hamlet in Sant Julià de Lòria parish, Andorra, set on a south-facing slope at about 1,300 m, ~5 km southeast of Sant Julià town up a narrow signposted side road. It is one of the parish's quarts, with a permanent population in the low dozens. The hamlet consists of a few traditional stone houses, a small medieval-origin chapel, and several restored bordes now used as country lodgings or homes.

Juberri's particular claim on the visitor is the Jardí de les Esculptures de Juberri, an open-air sculpture garden of plant arrangements, religious motifs and decorative stonework built up over decades by a local artist; it has become a small cult attraction for visitors with an interest in folk and outsider art.

Best time to visit: late spring through early autumn for the garden and the walking.
