About Fushë-Krujë

Fushë-Krujë (literally "Krujë Plain") is a town in Durrës County, central Albania. Situated on the flat plains below the historic mountaintop city of Krujë, the town is a busy agricultural and commercial hub. Unlike its historic neighbor on the hill, Fushë-Krujë is a modern settlement that gained international prominence in June 2007 when US President George W. Bush visited the town, marking the first time a sitting US president visited Albania.

The town is located at a vital geographical junction, connecting Tirana with northern Albania. The climate is Mediterranean with warm, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. The town center is busy and dominated by commercial activity, while the surrounding countryside is characterized by olive groves and farmland. The town square features a bronze statue of George W. Bush, commemorating his historic visit.
