Zurmat

Zurmat is a district and town in central Paktiyā Province, located south of Gardez. It is one of the larger districts in the province, known for its agricultural production, particularly wheat, maize, and fruits. The population is predominantly Pashtun.

The climate features warm summers and cold winters. Spring and autumn are the most pleasant times to visit.

From Gardez, drive south on a paved road for approximately 30 minutes. Shared taxis run regularly between Gardez and Zurmat.

The town centre is walkable. Shared taxis and rickshaws are available.
