Good to Know

Pacing around a one-year-old

The whole week is built for slow travel: one attraction area per day, protected rest windows, and outdoor time limited to early mornings. Use it as a framework, not a fixed schedule.

Beat the midday heat

Singapore in May runs 30 to 33C with high humidity. Every key attraction here has a strong indoor, air-conditioned component; keep those for the 11 AM to 5 PM window and stay out of open gardens then.

Getting around

Use taxis everywhere. They are cheap and reliable, and avoid the MRT with a pram and luggage. All listed venues are pram-friendly with elevators.

Baby supplies on the ground

Diapers, formula and baby food are widely available at FairPrice Finest, Cold Storage, Guardian and Watsons, near the hotel and in every major mall.

Book ahead

Pre-book Bird Paradise and Singapore Zoo for a small discount and no queues, and buy the Gardens by the Bay domes online for faster entry. Cable car can be bought on the day.
