Tokyo · Mt Fuji · Hakone · Kyoto · Hiroshima & Miyajima under full bloom — 19 nights at a calm pace

No early starts and no rushed mornings: every inter-city leg takes the first reserved train after 11:00, rest days sit between the big sights, and the one long day (Fushimi Inari plus Nara) splits cleanly in half.
The first two weeks of April put Tokyo's Chidorigafuchi moat, Shinjuku Gyoen and Kyoto's Higashiyama at peak bloom. Dated tickets — Shibuya Sky, teamLab Borderless, the Fuji limited express — release months ahead and sell out, so they are bought at release.
Bags travel ahead by takkyubin on all three hops — Shinjuku to Kyoto, Kyoto to Hiroshima, Hiroshima to Tokyo. The five Fuji and Hakone nights run on day bags only, which is what makes the onsen transfers easy.
The Hakone pass is bought as the digital EMot version rather than a physical voucher, so it activates on arrival by private car. The 3-day length absorbs the Odawara ride on departure day — the better buy on this routing.
The whole trip on the ground for two — every transfer, admission, luggage forward, all 19 hotel nights and the hotels’ on-property taxes — lands between $7,882 and $10,741 at April 2027 fares, depending on which held room is kept in each city. The cost sheet defaults to the cheapest held room in every block ($7,882). Excludes international flights and meals.
