Two cities, six nights: theme parks, harbour lights and Cotai spectacle
View Day-by-DayPeak rainy season: hot and humid (28-32 C), around a 65% daily chance of a short 2-4 hr afternoon downpour. Pack ponchos and quick-dry clothes, and keep indoor fallbacks (malls, teamLab, casinos) handy. Early typhoon season, so re-check the forecast about 10 days out.
Fully public-transport friendly. Buy Octopus cards on arrival for the MTR, Star Ferry and trams. Free resort shuttles cover most of Cotai; the TurboJet ferry and HZMB bridge shuttle link the two cities.
Hong Kong needs a free online Pre-arrival Registration completed before flying (carry a printout). Macau is visa-free for up to 30 days; carry passport, onward tickets and hotel vouchers.
Reserve The House of Dancing Water, the Aqua Luna cruise, Disneyland and Ocean Park in advance. teamLab is closed Wednesdays, so schedule it around that.
The Dragon Boat (Tuen Ng) public holiday falls on 19 June, with the free waterfront festival on the Hong Kong side. Sequencing Hong Kong for the back half of the trip catches it.
