Good to Know

June is peak rainy season

Expect a ~65% daily chance of short 2-4 hour afternoon thunderstorms and 28-32 °C humid heat. Pack light ponchos and quick-dry clothes, and keep indoor fallbacks like malls, teamLab and casinos in reserve. Typhoon season also begins in June.

Visa & entry for Indian passports

Macau is visa-free for up to 30 days. For Hong Kong, complete the free online Pre-arrival Registration before flying and carry the printout.

Get around on public transport

Octopus cards cover the MTR, Star Ferry and the Ding Ding tram. The Airport Express links the airport to Kowloon in ~22 min, a TurboJet ferry connects the two cities, and the HZMB cross-bridge shuttle handles the airport transfer.

Book the headline experiences ahead

Reserve The House of Dancing Water, the Aqua Luna Symphony sailing and Ocean Park in advance. teamLab is closed Wednesdays, so it is slotted for a Sunday arrival day in Macau.

Request connecting rooms

Four rooms cover a family of eight; ask for connecting rooms in both cities so the two children stay adjacent.
