Indian passport holders need a Vietnam e-visa — apply online (~US$25, single entry) at least 1–2 weeks ahead via the official portal (evisa.gov.vn). Carry a printed copy.

Currency

Vietnamese Dong (VND). Cards work at hotels and larger venues; carry cash for markets, taxis and street food.

Hot and largely dry — 30–35°C, high humidity, occasional short afternoon showers. Excellent beach weather. Pack light cottons, sun protection, a hat and a light rain layer.

Getting around

Use Grab / Xanh SM / Be ride-hailing apps; Da Nang airport adds a ~30,000 VND surcharge. My Khe Beach is walkable from the Da Nang hotel; Hoi An Ancient Town is best on foot or by bicycle.

Connectivity & health

Buy a local tourist SIM/eSIM (Viettel/Mobifone) at the airport or an eSIM before you fly. Stay hydrated, use sunscreen and drink bottled water.
