Day 1 of 10
Arrive Bali, settle in Nusa Dua
  • Overnight flight lands Denpasar (DPS) around 15:00; private transfer to the Nusa Dua resort (~20 min).
  • 16:30: Resort check-in with welcome amenities and Club terrace access.
  • Easy first evening: sunset drink on the beach and a light dinner at Kwee Zeen or in-room.
  • Early night to reset after the red-eye.

Day 2 of 10
Tanjung Benoa watersports & Uluwatu
  • 08:30: Resort breakfast (included).
  • 10:00: Tanjung Benoa Beach for tandem parasailing (~IDR 450k pp), with optional banana boat, jetski or sea-walker add-ons.
  • 13:00: Poolside lunch back at the resort.
  • 15:30: Uluwatu Temple, a cliff-top sea temple 70m above the ocean (entry IDR 50k pp, sarong included). Watch out for the sunglasses-snatching macaques.
  • 18:00: Kecak fire dance at the open-air Uluwatu amphitheatre, backdropped by the sunset (tickets IDR 150k pp; arrive 17:30 for cliff-side seats).
  • 20:00: Optional feet-in-sand seafood grill at Jimbaran Bay.

Day 3 of 10
Anniversary: spa & beach picnic
  • 09:00: Breakfast on the Club terrace.
  • 11:00: 90-minute couples ritual at the in-resort So SPA (~IDR 1,200k pp).
  • 13:30: Light lunch, saving room for the picnic spread.
  • 15:30-17:30: Chic Picnic on the beach - styled beachfront set-up, gourmet hamper, champagne and a dedicated server, timed to golden hour (sunset ~18:15). ~IDR 1,815k / couple, offset by the resort credit.
  • 19:00: Cocktail hour champagne at the Club, then a quiet dinner at Kwee Zeen or in-room.

Nusa Dua to Gili Trawangan
  • 08:00: Late breakfast; request a noon checkout.
  • 10:30: Driver to Padang Bai harbour (~1h 45m, IDR 400k).
  • 12:30: Fast boat to Gili Trawangan (~1h 45m).
  • 14:30: Arrive Gili T; cidomo (horse cart) to the west-side sunset beach resort and check in.
  • 16:30: Walk straight out onto the resort beach for sunset - no extra logistics needed.
  • 19:30: Beach dinner at Pearl Beach Lounge, or vegetarian at Pituq Cafe.

Discover Scuba on Gili T
  • 08:30: Breakfast at the resort.
  • 09:00-13:00: Discover Scuba single boat dive (~IDR 1,500k pp) with a PADI 5-star operator - shore briefing, short boat hop to a beginner reef, 12m depth cap with full instructor supervision.
  • 14:00: Lunch at a beach restaurant such as Casa Vintage.
  • 15:30: Turtle snorkel boat tour (~IDR 150k pp) - Turtle Heaven, Meno Wall and the underwater statue installation (~2.5h).
  • 18:30: Sunset on the west side or a quiet east-side dinner.

Day 6 of 10
Flexible Gili day
  • 08:30: Slow breakfast, no alarm.
  • Calm track: morning turtle snorkel boat, beach lunch, and an afternoon couples massage (~IDR 300k pp).
  • Lively track: cycle the car-free island loop (~7.5 km) to the beach swings, then an afternoon party boat with snorkel stops and BBQ (~IDR 350-500k pp).
  • 17:45: Sunset on the west shore at the Ombak / Paradise swings-in-the-shallows with a drink at Ombak Sunset.
  • 19:30: Dinner at the Gili T night market (Pasar Malam) - fresh seafood BBQ and warung plates.

Day 7 of 10
Gili T to Ubud via Goa Gajah
  • 08:00: Breakfast and a last swim.
  • 10:30: Fast boat back to Padang Bai (~1h 45m).
  • 13:30: Driver toward Ubud, stopping at Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave) - an 11th-century rock-cut sanctuary with bathing pools and a jungle ravine walk (entry IDR 50k pp).
  • 15:30: Check into the Penestenan rice-field pool stay just west of Ubud; Campuhan Ridge Walk is at the doorstep.
  • 17:00: Hop into Ubud centre for Saraswati Temple's lotus pond, the Royal Palace, the market and a coffee at Seniman.
  • 19:30: Dinner at Hujan Locale or Locavore To Go.

Ayung rafting & Tirta Empul
  • 06:30: Ayung River rafting (Class II-III, ~2h on the water with a hot breakfast at base, ~IDR 750k pp).
  • 12:30: Lunch at Naughty Nuri's Ubud.
  • 14:30: Tirta Empul, a 10th-century sacred water temple - the melukat purification ritual under the 13 spouts (entry IDR 50k pp; bring a change of clothes).
  • 17:00: Optional stop at Tegenungan Waterfall for late light.
  • 18:30: Evening at the Royal Palace, dinner at rice-paddy Sari Organik or Mozaic.

Mt Batur sunrise, ATV & Bali Swing
  • 02:00: Pickup to the Kintamani trailhead for the Mt Batur sunrise trek (~IDR 600k pp incl. guide, headlamp and crater breakfast).
  • 04:00: ~2h climb; summit sunrise around 06:00 with breakfast cooked on crater steam.
  • 11:00: Back at the hotel for a shower and nap.
  • 14:00: Alas Harum in Tegallalang for the ATV + Bali Swing combo - tandem ATV through caves and rice paddies, swings, nest photos and zipline (~IDR 1,100k pp).
  • 18:30: Sunset at the Tegallalang rice terraces if the light holds.
  • 19:30: Final-night dinner at Bridges Bali, Locavore or Mozaic.

Day 10 of 10
Slow Ubud morning & departure
  • 07:30: Final breakfast at the hotel.
  • 08:30: Last stroll through Ubud market and the Royal Palace, with a farewell coffee at Seniman or Suka Espresso.
  • 10:00: Checkout and driver to DPS (~1h 30m), with an optional short stop at a waterfall or Celuk silver workshop.
  • 12:00: International check-in at DPS ahead of the early-afternoon departure.
Good to Know

Getting around

Bali runs on private drivers; a half-day driver is roughly IDR 350-400k. Gili Trawangan is car-free - transport is by cidomo (horse cart), bicycle or on foot. Fast boats connect Padang Bai to the Gilis in about 1h 45m.

Temple etiquette

A sarong and sash are required at temples like Uluwatu, Goa Gajah and Tirta Empul; these are usually included with the entry ticket. Bring a change of clothes for the Tirta Empul purification ritual.

Vegetarian food

Ubud is very veg-friendly (Locavore, Sari Organik, Naughty Nuri's). On Gili Trawangan, Pituq Cafe is a dedicated vegetarian spot.

Watch the macaques

The monkeys at Uluwatu Temple are notorious for snatching sunglasses, hats and phones - keep loose items secured or tucked away.

Visa on arrival

Indonesia offers a 30-day visa on arrival at Denpasar for USD 35 per person; passports should be valid for at least six months from entry.
