Loh

Torba, Vanuatu

Why visit Loh?

Loh is an island in the Torres group of Torba Province, Vanuatu, located between Toga and Vanua Lava. It is a small, raised coral island with a flat top, surrounded by limestone cliffs and fringed by coral reefs. Loh is one of the least-visited Torres islands due to its limited access and the absence of an airstrip. The island's small population lives in traditional villages on the plateau, sustaining themselves through fishing, gardening, and coconut harvesting. Life on Loh follows the rhythms of subsistence and the sea.

The climate is tropical. The most favourable travelling conditions are during the dry season from May to October.
