Xonobod

Andijon, Uzbekistan

Why visit Xonobod?

Xonobod is a small city in the northern part of Andijon Region, close to the Kyrgyz border in the Fergana Valley. It is one of the quieter settlements in the region, primarily residential and agricultural, with a small industrial base from Soviet-era factories. The town is not a tourist destination in its own right but serves as a gateway for travellers crossing into Kyrgyzstan and as a stop for those exploring the Fergana Valley away from the main tourist trail.

The climate mirrors the rest of the Fergana Valley: hot, dry summers (June–August) with highs around 34°C and cold winters (December–February) with occasional snow. Spring and autumn are the best seasons for travel. The town is laid out along a single main road, with residential blocks and farm plots extending to the north and south.
