By Plane

The nearest major airport is Central Nebraska Regional Airport (GRI) in Grand Island, approximately 20 miles north. Lincoln Municipal Airport (LNK) is about 90 miles east, and Omaha's Eppley Airfield (OMA) is about 150 miles northeast.

By Train

Hastings is served by Amtrak's California Zephyr line. The station is located at 501 W 1st St. The westbound train stops around midnight; the eastbound train stops around 3:30 AM. Amtrak connects Hastings to Chicago, Denver, and other major cities along the route.

By Car / Road

Hastings is accessible via US Highways 6, 34, and 281. From Lincoln, drive west on I-80 to Grand Island, then south on US-281 approximately 20 miles. From Kearney, drive east on US-30 approximately 25 miles.

Hastings is a car-friendly city with a grid layout. Downtown is walkable, and most attractions are accessible by car. Public transportation is limited.
