Boryspil

Boryspil is a city in Kyivska Oblast best known as the location of Ukraine's busiest airport — Boryspil International Airport (KBP). Located approximately 30 km east of central Kyiv, the city has a population of around 60,000 and has grown significantly due to its proximity to the airport and transport infrastructure. While most travellers pass through Boryspil without stopping, the city itself has a modest historic centre, several parks, and a relaxed suburban character. By Plane

Boryspil International Airport (KBP) is located within the city limits. Sky Bus connects the airport to Kyiv's central railway station (45–60 minutes, 150 UAH). Taxis from the airport to central Boryspil cost around 100–200 UAH.

By Train

Boryspil has a railway station on the Kyiv–Poltava line. Trains from Kyiv's Darnytsia station take approximately 30–40 minutes. The station is 3 km from the city centre.

By Car / Road

From Kyiv, take the M-03/E40 highway east. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes. Buses and marshrutkas from Kyiv's left-bank metro stations (Livoberezhna, Kharkivska) run every 15–20 minutes.

Boryspil is a compact city, easily walkable in the central area. Local buses connect the railway station, the city centre, and the airport terminals. Taxis are readily available.

• Visit the local market — the central market offers fresh produce and Ukrainian street food.

• Misto (2 Boryspilska St) — Ukrainian and European cuisine near the airport. Mains 150–350 UAH.
• Puzata Khata (near the bus station) — budget Ukrainian chain restaurant.

Cafés near the airport and in the city centre serve coffee and soft drinks. The airport has several bars and coffee shops for travellers.
