Why visit Aladaglar National Park?
Aladağlar National Park (Aladağlar Milli Parkı) is a spectacular mountain range in the Taurus Mountains of southern Turkey, spanning Niğde, Kayseri, and Adana provinces. Established in 1995, the park covers 55,000 hectares of alpine terrain with peaks reaching 3,756 m (Demirkazık), deep canyons, glacial lakes, and diverse flora and fauna. It is one of Turkey's premier destinations for mountaineering, rock climbing, trekking, and alpine hiking.
The climate is alpine: summers are cool and pleasant (15–25°C), while winters are severe with heavy snowfall. The main trekking season is June to September. July and August are the busiest months. The park is accessed primarily from the villages of Çamardı (Niğde) and Demirkazık.
