The most common way to reach Betano is by mikrolet (shared minibus) or shared taxi from the municipal capital of Manufahi. Roads in the area are winding mountain roads, sealed in parts but rough in sections.

A coastal town on Manufahi's south coast, known for its beach and the Betano power station. It was the site of a major battle during the Indonesian occupation.
