Xinfeng (新豐) is a coastal township in northwestern Hsinchu County, Taiwan, located along the Taiwan Strait. It is known for its harbour, beaches, and the Xinfeng Wetlands, an important ecological area for migratory birds. The town has a mix of fishing villages and modern development.

The climate is humid subtropical. October to March are the most pleasant months. The area is spread out, with the harbour as the main focal point.

How do you get there?

By Plane

Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) is about 35 km north. A taxi takes about 35 minutes and costs around NT$800–1,000.

By Train

Xinfeng Station (新豐車站) is on the TRA west coast line. From Hsinchu Station, the journey takes about 12 minutes (NT$25–40).

By Car / Road

Xinfeng is accessible via Freeway 1 (Xinfeng exit) and Provincial Highway 15. From Hsinchu City, drive north for about 15 minutes.

A car or scooter is recommended. The harbour area and wetlands are spread out from the station.
